What it is to be a Humanist

Speaker - Zena Birch

Zena will explain to us what it is to be both a humanist and a humanist celebrant.
She will tell us what celebrancy is, how she personally performs wedding
ceremonies which suit each individual, from formal to informal and how they can
be held in any venue from the traditional to the imaginative. Ceremonies can be
personal, friendly, humorous, sentimental, and serious whatever proves
appropriate to suit the tone of the occasion. She will also talk about how story
telling is what bonds us all, throughout time and across cultures and how
humanist ceremonies from weddings to namings, funerals to celebrations of life,
all contribute to our sense of community and association with one another.

Door will be open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.

Due to an almost full membership and high attendance rates we are now restricted to 5 visitors per meeting. Please contact our Secretary Christine Dickinson (07709 553 927) to put your name on the door.

We urge all potential visitors to get in touch with us prior to attending a meeting. This way we can ensure we don't exceed our room capacity. Many thanks.
