Singing Workshop

Speaker - Andrew Sackett

Andrew has had a wide and varied musical career which has included genres from classical to jazz and musical theatre to rock and pop. He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and has held organist’s posts at Manchester Cathedral, Carlisle Cathedral and Tewkesbury Abbey. He spent eight years as musical director for Holland America Cruise Line and is now based in London where he is in great demand as a freelance musical director, pianist, organist and repetiteur. Andrew works extensively with “City Music Services” conducting several city firm choirs, is Musical Director for “South West Essex Choir” and is Assistant Director of Music at St. Peter’s, Eaton Square.

He is also Musical Director for the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tribute show “Big Girls Don’t Cry” which is currently touring the UK and celebrating its 10th year.
The workshop will be a fun evening when you will have the chance to sing (no
experience required!) some music as well as to hear insights into the world of a
freelance musician with a few anecdotes along the way.

Door will be open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
